When they took the survey, they did not bother to find out whether the person submitting the vote to create a calender change was a teacher or parent and if they were a parent, they failed to ask what grade their child or children were in. The people who most likely supported for a calender change due to the fact that the heat hampered the learning environment were most likely the parents of children in elementary school. However all the current calender changes really hurt children in high school, especially those in IB. IB has to take their tests May every year, no exception. Each Calender change A,B, and C all hurt the IB kids because they lose a week or more of information and teaching. We should keep the normal calender, and if anything, just change the calender for elementary students because the children in High School are affected greatly and negatively due to the change.
